Insight to teachers and parents

As a special invite, Dr. Mythili Hazarika, the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) got the opportunity to train the teachers of special education, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and behaviour therapy with a formal as well as interactive session along with parents at Spandan multi-specialty rehabilitation centre located in Rajgarh, Guwahati on psychosocial issues of differently able children and their parents. All the service providers seemed to be quire dedicated and passionate about their duties and responsibilities which was noticed from their attentiveness and patience throughout the two hours programme. Parents seemed to have a lot of unresolved conflicts in dealing with their children’s issues and their own psychopathology. This needs to be always addressed along with special or remedial training with children. Overall a stimulating experience!
