Simanta Talukdar, the Member of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) spoke on relevance of ‘geographical indication’ tag that protects the identity of indigenous products, and on our genetic predilection for certain foods according to the geographical location we are born in, and on importance of seasonal foods that cater to our immunity need for that season in a discussion on “Recent Food Trends” on the occasion of relaunching of the local restaurant The Morung, with a unique concept of “Seven Sisters’ Thali” consisting of cuisines from Seven North-Eastern States at Rajgarh, Guwahati.

Mental health thoughts on Independence Day

On the occasion of India’s 73rd Independence Day,  the television channel, Prag News, had taken a very proactive and innovative stance to promote positive mental health by starting some programs and raising awareness campaigns in around Guwahati. the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL), Mythili Hazarika was invited as a guest speaker to address the gathering to talk about mental health and mental illness.
