On 20th November 2019, North East Regional lnstitute of Education (NERIE) Umiam, a constituent unit of NCERT, New Delhi had invited Mythili Hazarika, the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) as the resource person in their training program on Adolescent Education on: “Prevention and Management of Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDs amongst adolescents”. There were 48 teachers from various schools in Meghalaya.

Pyschosocial Issues and Management of Adolescence
On 14th November 2019, the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL), Mythili Hazarika was a guest speaker on psychosocial issues and management of adolescence with a group of college teachers/professors was a fruitful and enriching experience because of the discussions that followed post presentation. It was a program for faculty development.
Second Professor Deepali Dutta Memorial Oration
On 10th November 2019, Mythili Hazarika, the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) was the master of the ceremony for the“Second Professor Deepali Dutta Memorial oration” organised by the Department of Psychiatry, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.Honorable orator Professor Ranjit Kumar dev Goswami delivered his talk on “The subject in question, a series of general observations on the fate of the Self down the ages”.

Positive Parenting
On November 3rd 2019, The President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL), Mythili Hazarika was invited as the distinguished speaker on a theme titled ‘Positive Parenting ‘ organised by Holy Heart English Medium school. The organisers deserve applause for such a theme for the parents of early years of education (3-7 yrs old) to generate awareness, early identification of behaviour and emotional issues and intervention, if required. The pertinent questions raised by the parents were addressed.
