Sandamita Choudhury, member of Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) has interacted as a resource person with the functionaries of child care institutions with Kamrup Metro through a two-day workshop organised by District Child Protection Unit, Kamrup Metro in collaboration with UTSAH Child Rights organisation with support from state Child Protection Society (SCPS).

Sandamita Choudhury, member of Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) has contributed a chapter titled ‘Crisis encounters and its management during Covid 19’ as a part of the book ‘Covid 19 and India’s Northeast: Psychological and Social Imprints’.

Dr. Mythili Hazarika, President of Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) was invited as a resource person to train counsellors of De-addiction centres of Assam organised by Committee On Socio Economic and Health Development (COSEHDA), Assam.

Dr. Bornali Das, Secretary of Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) was invited as a resource person to discuss about ‘Geriatric care and mental health’ with functionaries and inmates of oldage home through a program organised by NIPCCD, Assam. 

Dr. Mythili Hazarika, President of Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) was invited as a guest speaker to share her expertise on the topic ‘Mental health issues among students’ in Assam Engineering Institute.

World Mental Health Day 2022 was observed by District Mental Health Programme, National Health Mission in association with Dhubri Medical College and Hospital, Dhubri and Indian Psychiatric Society, Assam State Branch (IPS-ASB) under the able leadership of Dr. Shyamanta Das, member of Society for Mental health in LAMIC (SoMHiL)
