Dr Mythili Hazarika of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) attended the Disability Camp organised by Social Welfare Department at Chaygaon BPHC where the beneficiaries were assessed, certified, and managed. More than 110 patients were having disabilities in mental health. Ninety two certificates were given for mental retardation. The awareness has been nil in this areas about government benefits and facilities. Multiple disabilities were seen in more than 50%.
