In the fifth event of the webinar series to be held on December 4, Prof (Dr.) Russell Franco D’Souza, MD, will speak on ‘Embitterment and Post Traumatic Embitterment Disorder and Productivity’. Anxiety, Depression on the Rise in Assam Due to Pandemic

An article on guwahatiplus.com observed that mental health issues are on the rise due to the ongoing pandemic. The article reports that over 40,000 instances of psychological counselling have been conducted by government agencies alone.

Under the MONON initiative started under the guidance of Dr. Mythili Hazarika, President of Society of Mental Health in LAMIC countries, until November 1st, mental health data of 92,819 people were recorded and 42,455 have been counselled and provided necessary treatment.

Internet Based Field Study for ICD-11 by WHO Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse

President of Society for Mental Health in LAMIC countries, Dr. Mythili Hazarika participated in the Internet Based Field Study for ICD-11 Mental and Behavioral Disorders: Schizophrenia and Other Primary Psychotic Disorders as a member of the Global Clinical Practice Network (GCPN). The field studies will ensure that the diagnostic manual is clinically useful and accurate in mental health setting around the world.
