On the occasion of India’s 73rd Independence Day, the television channel, Prag News, had taken a very proactive and innovative stance to promote positive mental health by starting some programs and raising awareness campaigns in around Guwahati. the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL), Mythili Hazarika was invited as a guest speaker to address the gathering to talk about mental health and mental illness.

Specific learning disability

The President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL), Mythili Hazarika with Research Assistant, Devyani Borkataki introduced and discussed the items to be developed for Specific Learning Disability (SLD) assessment with five teachers of various classes in Assam Jatiya Bidyalay. The school will be a part of the project in providing with experts and for the pilot phase of data collection. They were very proactive and motivated to be a part of the same.
