The Honourable Health Minister, Government of Assam, India, launches “Monon”, a programme to address and fill the gap of mental health needs of the COVID-19 patients as well as the quarantined individuals, with a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical psychologists, psychiatric social workers, and trained voluntary counsellors, under the observation and leadership of Mythili Hazarika, Bornali Das, and Shyamanta Das.

Healthy people are caged due to a virus, so, normal anxiety due to psychosocial factors is evident. Mythili Hazarika, the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) defined the role of counselors, counseling psychologists, clinical psychologists, social workers, psychiatric social workers and psychiatrists in this pandemic and elaborated the same for the layman in a talk show organised by Prag news.

 

A tribute to corona warriors

Dr.Nawadeep Basumatary, MBBS, GMCH, ASSAM made a video taking some pics from juniors, seniors of medical colleges and ASHA, ANM, MPW, both urban and rural health workers. He made this video as a tribute to Doctors, Nurses, ASHA baideu, ANM, MPW, SW and all the front line health workers and Corona Warriors of the nation.

 

Webinar Session for NSS volunteers (n-285) of UNICEF, India

The entire northeast team had an interactive session and the honourable minister of education, sports and youth welfare Sikkim gave an excellent introduction.
