Webinar on ‘Drug Abuse’ organised by Assam Police
President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL), Mythili Hazarika was invited as a speaker in a webinar on 19th June 2020 organised by Assam Police on psychosocial management of substance use disorders with other eminent panelists. The webinar called “Drug abuse challenges and a way ahead” also included Honorable IGP CID Mr Surendra Kumar, DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, ADGP CID Dr L R Bishnoi, Vice Chancellor Bhabesh Chandra Goswami, Eminent Psychiatrist Dr Jayanta Das with more than 200 participants from Police and Cotton university.
National Webinar on ‘Roller Coaster of Emotions during COVID-19 Pandemic’

The President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL), Mythili Hazarika shared the platform with an eminent psychiatrist Dr Virinchi Sharma from Hyderabad in the ‘National webinar on Managing roller coaster of emotions during covid 19’ jointly organised by Little Flower Degree College Hyderabad And Sonapur College Guwahati to address the various aspects of mental health during this pandemic as a speaker on the 18th June 2020 in an academic national webinar. Mythili Hazarika addressed the topic of ‘COVID-19 pandemic and its multi-dimensional impact across generations’.

Launching MONON: Assam Cares
‘MONON’ was finally launched on 15 June 2020. Counsellors started connecting individually to the COVID-19 patients through 104. Anyone in distress, needing any kind of support for behaviour and emotional issues, to clarify any doubts regarding Covid-19 or any other issues related to psychosocial domains, to ensure whether one is healthy in true sense can call in 104 and ask for MONON team to address their issues. A safe space without judgement or labels for calling this number and confidential counselling sessions.
