The team of Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) united in one webinar platform. Around 100 members participated in the webinar to discuss on ‘Mental health and well-being’. Mythili Hazarika, the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) presented on insight facilitation about impact and management of Covid related mental health issues from children, adolescents, family, conflicts in different age groups, domestic violence and elderly care.



Mind makes the man

“Mon-ei manov” (mind makes the man) was the title of the webinar on mental health and well-being, organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Tihu Colege, Tihu and moderated by Simanta Talukdar, Member of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) where Bornali Das and Mythili Hazarika, Secretary and President of SoMHiL respectively were the speakers. The Editor-in-Chief of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®), Shyamanta Das was the co-coordinator.
‘Mental Health and Well-being’
SoMHiLians united in a single platform to discuss on “Mental Health and Wellbeing”. Bornali Das, the Secretary of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC spoke on “Existentialism” which is a pertinent topic now in this phase of pandemic. Shyamanta Das, the Editor-in-Chief of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®) and Mythili Hazarika, the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) and the Tihu college team also participated in the webinar which constituted an enriching experience.
APWA Webinar on Mental Health and Wellness
In an attempt to promote mental health during the pandemic APWA conducted its first webinar on 5th July 2020 focusing on mental health and wellness of which Mythili Hazarika, the President of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) was the resource person.
